Trad Folkin Rocks presents a double headline with TULUA & Alltacht
TULUA are a young traditional Irish band hailing from the southeast of Ireland. Meaning ‘Tribe of many paths’ TULUA have been deeply exploring and sharing music of their local area and other parts of Ireland, bringing the audience with them on a captivating journey of songs about love, tunes about life and everything in between. Their rooted passion for playing music has evolved together from a young age since growing up together in Wexford, and they now wholeheartedly explore the possibilities with their music and songs to create a sound unique to them, sometimes described as ‘mystically ambient’ and ’driving energy’. Since their official formation in 2019, they have released their debut album (No Coming No Going 2023) and an EP (Rising 2021), and have successfully toured and performed in four countries around the world (Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, America).
Alltacht is a newly formed band, consisting of current and former Irish World academy students Jamie Troy, Sarah Fox, Ciarán O'Connell and Liam Broderick. They come together blending their music and songs into a unique style, playing both traditional and modern tunes and songs with a modern style of accompaniment. They won the Molloy Award at the Birmingham Trad Fest in 2024; an award that strives to seek out new musical talent and award excellence and innovation within the idiom of Irish Traditional Music and Song. As a reward for winning, Alltacht opened the festival club for the Birmingham Trad Fest and will perform as a support act at the next festival. They will also be performing at Forest Fest 2025 in Emo in July on the Fleadh stage.
