Zkellies

Zkellies is a captivating live electronic music project that defies convention, performing techno music by hand and foot without any of the genre's traditional hidden structural devices. The trio, made up of long-time Irish underground stalwart Andy Connolly (Naive Ted, Unscene) alongside Dan Walsh (Fixity) and Killian Barton (Bill Karnation), rejects the use of backing tracks, sequencers, or click tracks. Instead, they perform a series of short, musical phrases, with the two drummers building a set in the same way a DJ would, creating a unique and respectful live version of loop-based, dancefloor-focused techno music. While the music is semi-improvised and experimental, their primary goal is to provide music for dancing in a new and different way.
