Scustin are purveyors of "Post - Funk". Which they create by blending humorous storytelling with a jazzy funk take on indie rock. Their sound was created by imagining what would happen if Blindboy, Mike Skinner and Jamiroquai went for a boozy night out in Bray and wrote an album about it.
2022 saw the band embark on their first UK & Irish tour, score festival slots at Electric Picnic and All Together Now, sell out shows in Galway, Limerick and Galway, establish themselves as new favourites at The Windmill in Brixton and release a string of singles and music videos. The year culminated with a sold out Dublin show and the release of their Christmas Special live performance video.
For 2023 Scustin has some very exciting plans. The band are scheduled to support The Scratch for two nights in a sold out Academy Dublin as well as a London headline at The Windmill Brixton on St. Patrick's Day, before embarking once again on another UK and Irish tour in the Spring. The Summer will see them enter the festival season with shows already confirmed for Electric Picnic (Ireland) and Latitude (UK). Finally the band will be spending the latter half of the year recording and releasing their debut album.
